Boy, the last 2 years have been tough. We're still not back in our house yet, and probably won't be until after the new year, and all of that's on me. I'm the bottleneck for all of the rebuild and rework and design decisions, and it's hard to make progress on anything when there are so many possible ideas and options. Last Tuesday, HalfshellHusband had a blackout fainting episode at the house, and fell. He hit his head (no concussion), and he fell hard on his hip... which has several cracks at the top of the femur. No surgery so far, but he could be pretty immobile for the next three months or so.

Last Thursday night, I dreamed that my family was on vacation and things were going wrong right and left. Missed planes, tunnels blowing up, disappearing luggage. My behindness is now behind. I swore the late Thanksgiving wouldn't come back to bite me, but I was wrong. Delaying the outside Xmas lights a week, and then again (because it was in the low 40s last weekend) had a ripple effect.
